Green clays are the most widespread in the world. There are several varieties, the main ones being montmorillonite, illite and bentonite. Their composition is more or less the same: silica (approx. 50%), aluminium (approx. 15%), calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, manganese, copper, lithium, molybdenum…
The green clay I’ve selected is montmorillonite, the name coming from the French town of Montmorillon, in the Vienne region.
This green clay is absorbent, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, healing, draining, rebalancing, regenerating, remineralizing and stimulating.
