Organic corn flour – 500g, produced in France. Organically grown corn. Corn flour, obtained by grinding corn kernels, takes the form of a yellow granular powder. A wholemeal flour, its grain is ground in its entirety, thus preserving its nutritional properties. The world’s most widely grown cereal, corn is the staple of many foods, especially in Latin America. Corn flour is ideal for use in a variety of culinary preparations, such as pastries. However, its flour is not bread-making: it cannot be used on its own to make bread. For example, corn flour must be combined with a bread flour (wheat flour or psyllium flour, an excellent gluten substitute).
Ecocert-certified product. Gluten-free. It can therefore be eaten by people with gluten intolerance.
